Mark never met his Father, and had no male elders to guide him. He lost his Mother at an early age and was forced to learn to be an adult by trial and error. Instead of using his upbringing as an excuse, he has chosen to use it as motivation to be all the Father that he never had for his two children, as well as to mentor others who grew up with similar challenges.
